AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State volleyball team looks to rebound from its first losing streak of the season when they face UMKC on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum. After defeating UC Irvine, the Cyclones fell to Michigan (3-1) and nationally ranked San Diego (3-2) at the UC Irvine Nike Invitational last weekend.

Scouting UMKC
UMKC enters the Wednesday contest 0-7 on the year. The Kangaroos were swept by Kansas in a midweek match and then dropped three matches at the Missouri State tournament last weekend. Jacqui Wood leads the way, averaging 2.40 kills per game for UMKC. The Cyclones have never lost to UMKC in 11 all-time matches.
Last Weekend
Iowa State went 1-2 against a tough field at the UC Irvine Nike Invitational last weekend. After disposing of UC Irvine in three games, ISU dropped back-to-back matches against Michigan and No. 20 San Diego. The Cyclones didn't go easy, taking the Wolverines to four games and falling in five to the Toreros.
Katie Squared
Katie Churm and Katie Jessen were named to the UC Irvine Nike Invitational all-tournament team. It marked the second such honor for both players in as many tournaments.
On A Mission
Since leading the Cyclones to a come-from-behind win over Iowa, Katie Jessen has been on a roll. The junior is averaging an impressive 4.24 kills per game in the last five contests. She was dominant at the net last weekend, posting seven solo blocks and six block assists.
