A Closer Look At Nebraska (14-0, 7-0 Big 12)
- Nebraska, the nation's top-ranked team, enters Wednesday's match having won 28 straight matches dating back to last season's national championship run.
- The Huskers disposed of Colorado, 3-0 (30-25, 30-18, 30-20), on Saturday in Boulder, Colo.
- Against the Buffaloes, Christina Houghtelling had 19 kills and 10 digs with Jordan Larson also chipping in a double-double with 13 kills and 14 digs.
- Individually, Sarah Pavan, last year's national player of the year, paces the Huskers with 4.67 kills per game while hitting at a .337 clip. Jordan Larson averages 3.77 kills and 3.40 digs while Christina Houghtelling, the 2005 national player of the year, averages 3.38 kills and a team-high 3.90 digs.
- The Huskers had a league-high five players voted onto the preseason all-Big 12 team.
- In Big 12 matches only, Nebraska leads the league in hitting percentage, opponent hitting percentage, assists and kills. The Cyclones lead the league in digs and rank in the top-3 in opponent hitting percentage, assists, kills and blocks.

Last Time They Met (11/8/06)
Lauren Cummings led the Cyclones with 16 kills and Erin Boeve chipped in 12 in the loss. The Cyclones out dug the Huskers, 86-85, with Laura Cady tying for the team-high with 22 digs.
- Nebraska took a 3-1 (30-20, 22-30, 30-27, 30-25) win at Hilton Coliseum to snap Iowa State's school-record five-match Big 12 winning streak. It was the first time that the Cyclones had won a game off of the Huskers since 1994, when ISU head coach Christy Johnson was a junior setter for Nebraska.
Triple-Double

Can You Dig It?
- The Cyclones have shattered a pair of school-record for digs in a single match since the inception of the rally scoring era this season. With 83 against Northern Iowa, ISU broke the previous 3-game record of 76 which was set against Creighton in 2005. The Cyclones then broke the 5-game record with 102 against Missouri, topping the old record which was 95 in the regular season finale against Colorado last season.
