AMES, Iowa ? Iowa State senior Lyndsey Medders has added three honors to her already long list of accolades this season. Medders was one of five Big 12 players to be named a WBCA/Kodak All-America finalist for Region 5. She was also named a Big 12 First Team member by the Waco Tribune-Herald out of Waco, Texas, and was chosen to the Phillips 66 Big 12 All-Tournament Team.
Medders leads the Cyclones this season with 12.8 points per game and ranks in the top 100 nationally in three statistical categories. The Los Angeles, Calif., native ranks eighth in assists per game with 6.4, is 64th in three-point field goal percentage at 35.5 percent and is 95th in three-point field goals per game with a two-per-game average.
In the Big 12 Tournament, Medders averaged 16 points per game and shot 52.2 percent from three-point range. She averaged five assists, four rebounds and one steal per game through the four tournament contests.
