AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State football team completed its first day of spring practice under new head coach Gene Chizik Wednesday evening. The Cyclones drilled for just over two hours in the Steve and Debbie Bergstrom Indoor Facility, working in special teams, individual position stations and spending the last 30 minutes in a skeleton drill.
The practice was the first of two open to the public and the media. Cyclones.com and the Clone Zone caught up with Chizik and offensive coordinator Robert McFarland as they talked about what new things they plan to install between now and the end of spring ball.
Fans can access a free interview with Chizik above, while Clone Zone members can see an interview with McFarland, plus highlights from last night's practice that will be updated throughout the day.
