Cyclones To Host Final Spring Tournament

AMES, Iowa ? The Iowa State volleyball team will host South Dakota State, Northern Iowa and Minnesota at its final tournament of the spring Saturday at Forker Gym. The tournament is free and open to the public.

The Cyclones, who are 7-1 this spring after splitting two contests last weekend at Minnesota, will open play at 11 a.m. against South Dakota State. At 12:10 p.m., ISU and intrastate rival Northern Iowa will take to the court before the Cyclones close out the tournament with a rematch against Minnesota at 2:10 p.m.

Iowa State is very familiar with all of its opponents this weekend, having faced all three at some point over the last year.

The Cyclones earned regular season victories over both South Dakota State (3-1) and Northern Iowa (3-1) last season. ISU and Minnesota played seven games last weekend, with the Gophers winning five of the seven competitive games.

The Cyclones have won 17 of their 26 games this spring.
