AMES, Iowa -- The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame announced Wednesday that Iowa State football players Shawn Moorehead and Seth Zehr are inaugural members of the NFF National Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a 3.2 GPA or better.
Moorehead, a senior from Mason City, was a Cyclone defensive end who finished his career as Iowa State's all-time leader in sacks. He will graduate next week with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Zehr earned his bachelor's degree in business in 2006 and is working toward his master's in business. Zehr started the last 40 games of his career on the offensive line.
