AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State fans are urged by ISU head football coach Gene Chizik to join their fellow Cyclone backers in the Hilton Coliseum parking lot to welcome the ISU football team Saturday as the squad exits its buses around 10:30 a.m. and heads for the Jack Trice Stadium locker room before the 12:30 p.m. kickoff against arch-rival Iowa.

"We need to build upon what is already a pretty good welcome and make it something which really motivates our players as they enter the stadium," Chizik said.

The "Cyclones Spirit Walk" is a chance for fans to join in creating an alley of excitement as the players walk from their bus drop (midway down tent row on the north side of the stadium) to the locker room. The Cyclones arrive two hours prior to kickoff (roughly 10:30 a.m. Saturday) each week. Members of the Iowa State Pep Band and the Spirit Squads will also be present. Fans should be ready, be on time and be loud!
