- The Cyclones beat Missouri, 3-2 (27-30, 30-24, 30-26, 26-30, 16-14), on Saturday evening to improve to 8-1 in their last nine matches.
- In the win over Mizzou, ISU's second straight over the Tigers dating back to last season, the Cyclones held a 14-7 edge in the fifth game before the Tigers scored the next seven points to tie it at 14-14. A kill by Mary Bisenius and a block assist by Erin Boeve and Lauren Cummings sealed the win.
- Erin Boeve returned to her natural position, middle blocker, against Missouri after starting the first 13 matches at outside hitter. The transition was successful with Boeve racking up 22 kills and hitting .356. Despite the success, Boeve could still be used at outside hitter depending on matchups, according to head coach Christy Johnson.

- Jen Malcom is hitting .333 in road matches this season.

- Senior right side hitter Lauren Cummings ranks first in the Cyclone record books with a .290 career hitting percentage. Cummings became eligible for the record with her 1,000th career attempt against Missouri. She moved slightly ahead of Diane Doles, whose .285 career hitting percentage has stood as a record since 1983.

A Closer Look At Texas Tech (7-7, 1-4 Big 12)
- The Red Raiders fell, 3-1 (17-30, 30-26, 20-30, 17-30), to No. 7 Texas on Wednesday in Lubbock. It was the fourth straight loss for Texas Tech, which opened the Big 12 season with a 3-2 win over Colorado.

With 83 against Northern Iowa, ISU broke the previous 3-game record of 76 which was set against Creighton in 2005.
