? Chipman was a high school teammate of Iowa State's Kaylee Manns at Washburn Rural HS in Topeka, Kan.

Efficiency Factor
? This season's squad is aiming to become the most efficient hitting team in school history. The Cyclones are hitting .253 as a team, which ranks first over the 1984 team's .231 hitting percentage. The Cyclones, who have never finished higher than fifth (2005) in the Big 12 in hitting, are currently fourth.
Henson Gets Offensive
? Sophomore Victoria Henson was named Big 12 offensive player of the week for Oct. 13-19. Henson averaged 5.75 kills while hitting .418 on the week. She had 6.13 points per set. The honor was the first of Henson's career.

Tracking Mass
? With 1,000 career digs in her sight, Ashley Mass is set to join elite company. Just nine players have reached the 1,000 dig mark in school history. Mass has a chance to reach 1,000 digs faster than any player in school history. She has played in just 53 matches and sits just 99 digs shy of the feat.
