On Deck For ISU
? The fifth-place Cyclones stay home for Wednesday's match, playing host to Baylor, the fourth-place team in the Big 12. The match will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Decade Old Mark Falls
? When Victoria Henson put up 30 kills at Colorado it marked the end of a decade old streak. Prior to Henson's big day, the last player to record 30 kills for the Cyclones was Virginia Hoss on Sept. 11, 1998. It was 318 matches between 30-kill performances for a Cyclone student-athlete.
Efficiency Factor
? This season's squad is aiming to become the most efficient hitting team in school history. The Cyclones are hitting .255 as a team, which ranks first over the 1984 team's .231 hitting percentage. The Cyclones, who have never finished higher than fifth (2005) in the Big 12 in hitting, are currently fourth.
Freshmen 2.00 Kills/2.00 Digs Club
? Since 1982 just four Iowa State freshmen have averaged 2.00 kills and 2.00 digs per set. 2008 freshman Rachel Hockaday is on pace to do just that, having averaged 2.69 kills and 2.32 digs in the first 21 matches this season. Here is a look at the others to accomplish the feat:
2008 - Rachel Hockaday - 2.69 kills, 2.32 digs
2002 - Amanda Craig - 2.15 kills, 2.99 digs
2001 - Brittany Dalager - 2.88 kills, 4.07 digs
1999 - Sarah Rollman - 2.14 kills, 2.26 digs
1988 - Tracy Graham - 2.37 kills, 2.42 digs
Tracking Mass
? With 1,000 career digs in her sight, Ashley Mass is set to join elite company. Just nine players have reached the 1,000 dig mark in school history. Mass has a chance to reach 1,000 digs faster than any player in school history. She has played in just 54 matches and sits just 75 digs shy of the feat. Here is a look at how long it took other 1,000-dig club members to accomplish the feat:
