LINCOLN, Neb. ? Iowa State hung tough with No. 2 Nebraska but in the end the Husker's block and Jordan Larson, who finished with 17 kills, were too much to overcome as the Cyclones fell, 3-1 (17-25, 25-22, 20-25, 19-25), Saturday afternoon at the NU Coliseum. The Cyclones second set win was the first for an ISU team at Nebraska since 1994, a streak spanning 13 matches.
“I am pleased with our play today,” Iowa State head coach Christy Johnson said. “It is the first set we have taken from them since I've been here and I feel like we are getting closer and closer each time we play them.”
