Cyclone Notebook
? Iowa State is 6-4 in its last 10 matches after beating Colorado Wednesday to snap a two-match skid.
? Saturday's match will start at 3 p.m. to avoid conflict with the Sooners' football game, which will be played at 7 p.m. that evening.
? ISU has won at least 16 matches in four straight seasons. That hadn't happened since a stretch from 1980-84.
? Against Colorado on Wednesday, Kaylee Manns had one of the top all-around performances of her career. The junior had 60 assists, 13 digs, eight total blocks and four kills. Jen Malcom also had a nice performance, tying Victoria Henson with a match-high 17 kills and collecting eight blocks of her own.
? In the match, Manns became the second player at ISU to record 4,000 career assists.
? Defensively, ISU got a match-high 28 digs from Ashley Mass and a career-high 16 from Rachel Hockaday, who posted her sixth double-double of the season.
? Mass went over 500 digs on the season, becoming just the second player in school history to reach 500 digs in back-to-back seasons.
? Mass needs 12 digs to match her total from her freshman year (532).
? Carly Jenson has 16 kills in the last two matches, including a career-high nine on Wednesday. Prior to this stretch, Jenson had 16 in her first 10 matches.
? Henson is averaging 4.39 kills and hitting .288 in the last 10 matches.
? With her 420 kills on the season, Henson owns the ISU sophomore record and sits in 11th on the ISU single-season charts with three regular season matches remaining. She needs just three more to move into the top-10.
? Henson is 23rd all-time at ISU with 707 career kills.
? Jen Malcom is the career leader at ISU for hitting percentage with a .331 average.
? Malcom is seventh all-time at ISU with her 263 career block assists. She'll move into sixth with two more.
? Malcom is also closing in on 1,000 collegiate kills. The transfer from Syracuse has 977 kills, 591 of which have come since she arrived in Ames.
? Kaylee Manns needs just 44 digs to become just the second player in school history to record 1,000 assists and 1,000 digs (Lisa Burke, 1988-91).
? Manns owns the top-three single-season assists per set marks in school history. Her 11.72 this season, which is second in the Big 12 and ranks fifth in the nation, is the third highest in school history.
? Manns is averaging 12.16 assists per set over the last 10 matches. ISU is hitting .245 during the stretch.
? Entering the week, Manns was eighth in the nation in assists per set.
? Malcom needs two total blocks to move into the top-10 for a career at ISU.
? Each Christy Johnson team in her first four years has ranked in the top-10 in school history for block assists. The first three seasons rank as the top three in school history. For this team to jump into the top four it needs 69 more.
? Freshman Rachel Hockaday broke Victoria Henson's freshman record for kills. Hockaday has 282 kills on the season.
? Iowa State's freshmen class has 459 kills this season, the most ever by a rookie class at ISU.
Scouting Oklahoma
? The Sooners have been eliminated from NCAA Tournament consideration but that hasn't stopped them from competing as they hurt Kansas' hopes with a 3-1 win last week. OU narrowly missed dashing Texas A&M's tournament dreams Wednesday before falling 3-2 in Norman.
? Against the Aggies, Francie Ekwerekwu led the way with 19 kills while Bridget Laplante finished with 13. OU hit just .188 despite holding a 10-8 edge in blocks.
? The Sooners are 10th in the league in hitting percentage (.176), assists (10.95) and kills (11.94). Defense has been the key for the Sooners, who rank second in the Big 12 with 15.83 digs per set.
? In Big 12 play, Caitlin Higgins has 23 service aces.
? The Sooners hold a 40-22 edge in the all-time series. ISU has won the last two meetings in the series.
Last Time Out Against Oklahoma
? The Cyclones swept the Sooners in convincing fashion earlier this season at Hilton Coliseum. ISU took the sets -15, -24, -14 while hitting .396 and holding the Sooners to a .086 average.
? Victoria Henson and Kelsey Petersen led the way with 13 and 10 kills, respectively. Petersen's total was a career high. Jen Malcom and Rachel Hockaday finished with nine kills each.
? ISU held the edge in digs (51-27) and blocks (9-6).
? Ashley Mass posted 15 digs and Caitlin Mahoney served up two service aces to keep the Sooners off balance.
? Oklahoma had no players reach double-digit kills but Bridget Laplante had 12 digs in the loss to lead the Sooners.

On Deck For ISU
? The Cyclones wrap up the season next week with a Wednesday match at 13th-ranked Kansas State and a Saturday showdown with Kansas at Hilton Coliseum. The match against Kansas will serve as Senior Day and Fan Appreciation Day.
Efficiency Factor
? This season's squad is aiming to become the most efficient hitting team in school history. The Cyclones are hitting .245 as a team, which ranks first over the 1984 team's .231 hitting percentage. The Cyclones, who have never finished higher than fifth (2005) in the Big 12 in hitting, are currently fourth.
Manns Nearing 1,000 Digs
? Kaylee Manns is just 44 digs shy of 1,000 digs and becoming the second player in school history to reach 1,000 assists and 1,000 digs.

? A highly decorated class of high schoolers has signed National Letters of Intent to attend Iowa State. Three top-100 players and a talented walk-on will join the Cyclones in 2009. Here is a quick glimpse of the future of Cyclone Volleyball:
