CYber CYd with Ashley Kent

Hey Cyclone fans.

I don't know how many of you have checked your calendars but we are three weeks away from our first meet at home vs. Missouri. I look back on the last three months and can't believe how fast the time has gone. After all the hard work we have done it's great that we have a little holiday break and then get right into the season. We are very lucky to have a great 2009 schedule. Not only do we have six regular-season home meets this year, but we are going to be hosting the Big 12 Championship.

It's very exciting.

This is finals week and everyone has been really studying hard. We should all be finishing up by tomorrow and then at noon we are having our third intrasquad meet. This is a great chance to show everyone how much progress we have made. We will be running it just like a meet where we warm up everything and then have a quick 30-second touch before competing. Anyone who is available to come and watch we would love to have you.

Next week everyone will be heading home to spend the holidays with their family in a well-deserved break. It's always nice to spend time at home especially since we don't have very many opportunities to do that once the season starts. As a team we want to wish all our fans happy holidays and a happy New Year's. We can't wait to see you Jan. 9, 2009.
