- Iowa State (13-12, 3-7) plays host to Nebraska (14-8, 3-6), winners of three of its last five games, on Saturday hoping to avenge a 64-56 loss to NU in Lincoln earlier this year.
-It will be a special afternoon for Iowa State men's basketball, as ISU will honor 100 years of Cyclone men's basketball with its Centennial Celebration.
-An autograph session for the members of the All-Century team will take place from 9:30-11:15 a.m. in the Hilton concourse.
-Seven players of ISU's 15-member All-Century team will be in attendance: Gary Thompson (1955-57), Zaid Abdul-Aziz (1966-68), Hercle Ivy (1973-76), Jeff Grayer (1985-88), Fred Hoiberg (1992-95), Kelvin Cato (1996-97) and Jake Sullivan (2001-04)...all seven will be honored in a special halftime ceremony.
-An alumni game will also be held from Noon-1:30 p.m...50 former Cyclone stars have signed up to play in the game.
-All alumni in attendance, plus video tributes from former coaches, will be honored after the game has ended...fans are encouraged to stick around after the game.
-The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a special commemorative 100 years of ISU basketball poster...the definitive DVD, Iowa State Basketball...A Century of Memories, Moments, and Magic will also be for sale in the concourse of Hilton for $19.99.
