AMES, Iowa - Cyclones.com and the Clone Zone spent the last several days at Jack Trice Stadium with The Weitz Company as Phase I renovation continues to make significant progress to the suite and club sections. Click the "WATCH" link above to see a free video of the construction progress and the Photo Gallery links to see photos.
The $19.5 million Phase I project includes the addition of premium suites running the length of the west side of the stadium and the installation of new restroom and concession buildings. The work on the west side of the stadium will create a concourse that is 20 feet wider than the existing walkway. Phase I work on the east side of the stadium will include the total renovation and overhaul of the club section.
The crew hopes to have installation of restroom and concession buildings completed by early March. The concourse is set for completion by mid-July with a goal of final project completion of Aug. 1, 2008. Iowa State opens the 2008 football season on Aug. 28 against South Dakota State.
Cyclones.com will periodically take video and photos of the renovation progress throughout the spring and summer, as construction continues.
