-No. 11 seed Iowa State (14-17, 4-12) will battle No. 6 seed Texas A&M (22-9, 8-8) in the first round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, March 13 in Kansas City, Mo., at 8:30 p.m...the game is televised nationally on ESPN2.
-The winner of the game will face No. 3 seed Kansas State on Friday (March 14) at 8:20 p.m...all games will be played in the brand new Sprint Center.
-The Cyclones have not won a Big 12 Tournament game since a 77-57 win over Baylor in the 2005 Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City.
-The Cyclones ended the regular season with a 73-69 loss to Kansas State in Hilton Coliseum on Saturday...the Cyclones ended their home mark at 12-6.
-ISU is 1-1 in neutral games this year...its only win on a neutral court was arguably its marquee victory of the season, an 83-80 win over Purdue in the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Classic...the Boilermakers are currently a top-20 team.

-Iowa State fell down by as many as 14 points in the second half, but closed the gap to two points in the closing seconds before falling to Kansas State, 73-69 in its regular-season finale in Hilton Coliseum on Saturday.
-ISU lost its second consecutive Senior Day game and fell to 7-3 in Senior Day games in the last 10 seasons.
-ISU did an outstanding job on super freshman Michael Beasley, who recorded a Big 12-low 15 points...however, freshman Jacob Pullen tallied 19 points behind an 8-of-11 effort from the floor.

-Senior Rahshon Clark played in his final game in Hilton Coliseum, collecting seven points, three boards and one block...Clark has started in 107 career games, tying Julius Michalik (1992-95) for eighth on the ISU all-time chart...Clark has 34 blocks this season to rank 11th in the Big 12...his total ties for 15th on ISU's single-season chart.
-Diante Garrett came off the bench to tally nine points and (4-5 FG, 1-2 FT) a team-high five assists...Garrett is averaging 14.5 points and shooting 10-of-16 from the floor (62.5 percent) in his last two games.
-The Cyclones have been on a tear at the free-throw line in recent games...ISU, which made 14-of-16 shots from the charity stripe vs. the Wildcats, has made 55-of-63 shots from the free-throw line (87.3 percent) in its last three games.
