Kieger, Manns Named Academic All-Big 12

AMES, Iowa ? Iowa State seniors Diane Kieger and Kaylee Manns have been honored as academic All-Big 12 picks, the league office announced Tuesday. Kieger and Manns were both first-team honorees.
Kieger, a middle blocker from Shoreview, Minn., is a hotel, restaurant and institutional management major. Kieger is averaging 1.69 kills and hitting .294 this season. She also posts 0.91 blocks per set.
Manns, a setter from Topeka, Kan., is an advertising major with a minor in Spanish. Manns is the Cyclones' all-time leader in assists with 5,408 in her career. She was a preseason All-Big selection after being an All-American last year. This season, Manns is second in the nation with 12.10 assists per set.
