Cyclones Move Up To No. 12 In AVCA Coaches Poll

AMES, Iowa ? Coming off an opening weekend sweep of UW-Milwaukee, the Iowa State volleyball team moved up one spot to No. 12 in this week's AVCA Coaches Poll.

The Cyclones were impressive in disposing of the Panthers, who qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season. ISU earned sweeps in both matches, winning the sets by an average of 8.8 points per frame.

Iowa State (2-0) has a busy week ahead with a match against intrastate rival Northern Iowa (2-1) on Wednesday before heading to Minnesota for the Diet Coke Classic this weekend. The Cyclones will face the 13th-ranked Golden Gophers in addition to George Washington and Auburn at the tournament.
