AMES, Iowa - The 10th-ranked Iowa State volleyball team takes to the road Friday to face No. 2 Texas in the first-ever top-10 showdown in school history. First serve from Gregory Gym is slated for 6:30 p.m.

? 10th-ranked Iowa State heads to Austin, Texas for a top-10 showdown with the No. 2 Longhorns Friday night. It marks the first time ISU will play a match in which both teams are ranked among the top-10 teams in the country.
? ISU swept Colorado Wednesday night to improve to 9-1 this season, which marks the best start in school history. The win gave ISU victories in its last four Big 12 openers.
? The Cyclones hit .371 against the Buffaloes Wednesday night. It was ISU's highest hitting percentage against a Big 12 opponent since hitting .391 last season against Texas Tech (11-5-08).
? Victoria Henson led the way for the Cyclones, posting her fifth-straight match with double-digit kills. Henson finished with 12 while Diane Kieger added 10.
? Kieger, a senior, has now been in double-figures in the last two matches.
? Ashley Mass' streak of matches with double-figure digs came to an end at 25 against the Buffaloes. Mass had limited chances and finished with nine digs.
? The Cyclones rank among the nation's leaders in a number of categories. Led by Kaylee Manns, who is third in the country in assists, ISU also ranks third in the nation in assists as a team. The Cyclones are also fourth in kills and sixth in digs.
? The Cyclones took home a pair of Big 12 awards last week with Henson and Mass being named offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively.
? Sophomore Debbie Stadick has played well over the last five matches, despite not having her best night Wednesday. She is averaging 2.65 kills, 0.94 blocks and hitting .351 during the stretch.
? Henson moved into first in the ISU record books for kills per set. The junior is averaging 3.57 kills for her career.
? Mass continues to rack up accolades, this time taking home Best Libero honors after posting 5.18 digs per set in three matches at the Hawkeye Challenge. The junior had a season-high 27 in ISU's win over the Hawkeyes.
? Kaylee Manns needs just 44 assists to move into 10th place on the Big 12's all-time charts.
? Mass needs six more 10-dig matches to move into a tie for third all-time at the school with her predecessor Katie Churm. Churm had 76 career matches in double-figures.
? ISU is hitting .246 this season after hitting for a school-record .234 in 2008.
