AMES, Iowa - The 12th-ranked Iowa State volleyball team continues it road swing this weekend at the Diet Coke Classic in Minneapolis, Minn. The Cyclones will face George Washington, Auburn and No. 13 Minnesota at the Sports Pavilion.

? Iowa State started the season 3-0 for the first time since 2006 with a 3-1 win over intrastate rival Northern Iowa Wednesday. The match was played in front of a UNI school-record 6,126 fans. ISU has started 4-0 in eight different seasons.
? Rachel Hockaday and Jamie Straube led the Cyclones with 18 and 13 kills, respectively. The Cyclones were playing without leading hitter Victoria Henson, who missed the match for a violation of team rules. Henson will be back in the lineup for this weekend's tournament.
? ISU turned up the blocking, posting 16 team stuffs in the win. It was the most blocks by a Cyclone squad since posting 16 in 2008 against UW-Milwaukee.
? ISU's seven solo blocks was the most since having the same total against Oklahoma in 2007.
? Senior setter Kaylee Manns became Iowa State's career leader for assists in last Saturday's match when she passed Lisa Burke. Manns has 4,461 assists in her career.
? Manns needs just 326 assists to move into 10th place on the Big 12's all-time charts.
? Iowa State's opponents for this weekend (George Washington, Auburn and Minnesota) are 10-1 this season.
? Henson averaged 4.17 kills per set last weekend, including a match-high 16 in Saturday's sweep. Henson hit .387 in that match after going for just nine kills on a .160 hitting percentage in Friday's contest.
? ISU is 2-0 all-time against George Washington and Auburn, but trails Minnesota in the all-time series 21-8.
? The Cyclones return to Minnesota after handing the Golden Gophers their first-ever loss at home in NCAA Tournament play last season in the second round.
? In that match, ISU got 25 kills from Henson and 16 from Hockaday, while the Cyclones notched 86 digs in the win.
? The Gophers played that match without All-Big Ten outside hitter Brooke Dieter.
? Kelsey Petersen is leading the Cyclones with a .321 hitting percentage. Petersen had eight kills in addition to a solo block and four block assists Wednesday against UNI.
? Ashley Mass has now posted double-digit digs in the last 19 matches after notching 19 against UNI. The junior had 22 in last year's match against Minnesota.
? Iowa State was 6-0 in neutral site matches last season.
? The Cyclones are 1-0 against the Atlantic 10, 2-1 against the SEC and 5-2 against the Big 10 under Johnson-Lynch.
? ISU moved up a notch to No. 12 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll. It equals the highest ranking in school history, matching the final ranking from 2008.
