AMES, Iowa-Iowa State (10-3) will travel to Chicago, Ill., to face No. 5 Duke (12-1) in front of a nationally televised audience on ESPN2. ISU, winners of four-straight, will face Duke for the first time on Wednesday.

Cyclone Notebook
- Iowa State (10-3) will travel to Chicago, Ill., to face No. 5 Duke (12-1) in front of a nationally televised audience on ESPN2.
- ISU, winners of four-straight, will face Duke for the first time on Wednesday.
- ISU will also play at the United Center for the first time ever.
- ISU is 4-4 all-time in games played in Chicago...three of its four wins were against the University of Chicago from 1917-27...the Cyclones picked up their fourth win in the Windy City earlier this year, knocking off St. Louis in the Chicago Invitational at the UIC Pavilion...ISU lost the championship game to Northwestern.
- Wednesday's game features two of the best 3-point shooting teams in the nation...ISU ranks fifth nationally in 3-point field goal percentage (101-237, 42.62%) and Duke has made 42.59 percent of its shots from beyond the arc (112-263) to rank sixth nationally.
- Wednesday's games will also feature three preseason Wooden Award watch list members in ISU's Craig Brackins and Duke's Kyle Singler and Jon Scheyer.
- Marquis Gilstrap was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week for the third time on Monday.

Last Time Out
- Iowa State had its struggles during the game, but in the end the Cyclones made the plays to outlast Houston, 82-75 in double overtime.
- Marquis Gilstrap came alive in the second overtime period, scoring eight of ISU's 13 points...Gilstrap finished the game with 17 points and five boards.
- It looked like ISU was done in regulation, as UH had a one-point lead and the ball with 0:30 seconds left...however, Gilstrap tipped an inbounds pass and ISU regained control and found Diante Garrett for a lay-up and conventional 3-point play to take a 2-point lead.
- The Cougars, however, made a shot with 0:01 left in the game to force overtime.
- Garrett came up with another dramatic shot to force the second overtime when he made a running bank shot with 0:06 seconds left.
- Thanks to Gilstrap and Lucca Staiger, who made six treys en route to a team-high 18 points, the Cyclones led by as many as nine points in the final extra session.
- The Cyclones scored 80 or more points for the eighth time this season and for the fourth game in a row...the last time ISU tallied 80 or more points in a game in four-straight contests was in the 2005-06 season (five games in a row).
- ISU is now 31-2 in the McDermott era when scoring 70 points or more.
- Staiger now has 113 3-pointers in his career to rank seventh all-time in school history...it was the fifth time in his career where made six or more treys in a game.
- Craig Brackins finished the game with 16 points and 11 boards, registering his fourth double-double of the season and the 22nd of his career...the All-American candidate has scored in double figures in 45 of his last 48 games.
- Brackins finished the game with four blocks, including two big swats in the second overtime, to give him 80 in his career.
- Garrett ended the game with 11 points, six assists and four steals...Garrett has dished out five or more assists 32 times in his career.
- Gilstrap was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week for the third time this season on Monday for his performance vs. Houston.
- ISU tied a season high with 10 blocks.
- The seven-point margin of victory is the closest win ISU has this season...ISU's first nine wins were by 10 points or more.

- Iowa State and Duke will meet for the first time on Wednesday at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.

- No. 5 Duke (12-1, 1-0) has just one blemish on its record this year, losing at Wisconsin, 73-69.
- The Blue Devils are fresh off a 74-53 win over Clemson in their ACC opener on Sunday...Jon Scheyer and Nolan Smith both scored 22 points to lead Duke.
- DU is led by preseason All-Americans Kyle Singler and Scheyer.
- Scheyer, a 6-5 senior from Northbrook, Ill., is leading the team in scoring at 18.8 ppg...he is one of the best shooters in college basketball, making 43.0 percent of his shots from 3-point range.
