AMES, Iowa - The No. 10 Iowa State Cyclones (11-3, 4-2 Big 12) travel to Lawrence, Kan. this weekend for a match with the Kansas Jayhawks (11-6, 2-4 Big 12).
On Wednesday, the Cyclones beat the Texas Tech Red Raiders in three quick sets, hitting a season-high .441 in the process. Carly Jenson collected 10 kills in the match, giving her 200 kills in her Iowa State career and senior Victoria Henson led the team with 17 kills. Henson has put up double-digit kill numbers in each of Iowa State's 14 matches this season.
A dangerous team offensively, Kansas boasts five players with 100 or more kills this season. Outside hitter Karina Garlington has 226 kills and is averaging 3.42 per set this season, ranked seventh in the Big 12 in that category, trailing Henson who is averaging 4.10 and ranked second in the conference.
Saturday's match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and will be held at Horejsi Family Athletics Center.
