AMES, Iowa - Iowa State middle blocker Jamie Straube was named a First-Team ESPN Academic All-District VII selection, the College Sports Informations Directors of America national office announced Thursday.
A sophomore from Tecumseh, Neb., Straube is hitting .321 this season, ranked sixth in the Big. She also ranks 10th in the conference in blocks per set with a team-high 1.12 average.
