AMES- Iowa State junior guard DeMarcus Phillips has decided to transfer to another school, Iowa State head men's basketball coach
Fred Hoiberg announced today.
"DeMarcus informed us of his decision to transfer today," Hoiberg said. "We appreciate everything DeMarcus did for our program and wish him the best in his future endeavors."
Phillips, a native of Milwaukee, Wis., played in eight games this season, averaging 9.6 minutes and 2.5 points. Phillips was in his first year with the Cyclones after playing the last two seasons at Marshalltown Community College.
"I have decided to leave Iowa State and transfer to another school," Phillips said. "I want to thank the Iowa State coaching staff for all of their help and guidance during my time in Ames."
