ISU is assured of the No. 11 seed at the Big 12 Championship in Kansas City next week. ISU will play Wednesday night (March 10) at 8:30 p.m. The Cyclones' opponent is still yet to be determined.

- The Cyclones lost another heartbreaker in their home finale Tuesday night, falling to Missouri in overtime (69-67) on a last-second shot from Zaire Taylor...ISU has lost seven games vs. Big 12 competition by seven points or less.

Last Time Out
- Iowa State lost yet another close game by falling to Missouri, 69-67 in overtime Tuesday night in the final home game of the season.
- Missouri's Zaire Taylor made a high-arcing running bank shot over the outstretched arms of Marquis Gilstrap at the buzzer to win the game...Taylor also made the basket to tie the game with 0:11 seconds left.
- ISU had the final possession in the closing seconds in regulation, but failed to get a shot off...the Cyclones also committed a costly turnover right before Taylor's game winner.
- The loss was ISU's seventh at home this season, the second-most losses at home in Hilton Coliseum history.
- ISU has lost seven games in Big 12 play by a total of seven points or less.
- ISU committed 20 turnovers, its second-highest total of the season, but also forced 19 Missouri miscues.

- His 1,505 career points ranks 13th all-time and his 718 career rebounds is the eighth-best total in school history.
- Diante Garrett handed out three assists to improve his season total to 148, the 20th-best single-season tally in school history...Garrett also had 14 points to score in double figures for the eighth time in the last 11 games.
- LaRon Dendy came off the bench to score 10 points, his fourth double-digit scoring effort this season.

Gilstrap Averaging A Double-Double In League Play
- Senior forward Marquis Gilstrap, who is in his first season with the Cyclones, had a great start to his Big 12 career.
- The preseason Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, Gilstrap recorded four-straight double-doubles to begin Big 12 competition...he is averaging 15.4 points and 10.1 rebounds in league games only.
- Only one other player in Big 12 history debuted with four double-doubles in their first four conference games of their career...former Texas national player of the year and current NBA star Kevin Durant is the other...Durant notched double-doubles in his first five games of his Big 12 career (2007).
- His 10.1 rpg average in conference play leads the Big 12 and his 10 double-doubles on the season ranks fifth in the Big 12.
- He is one of just two players in the Big 12 to average a double-double in conference play (UT's Damion James is the other)...he needs to grab nine boards on Saturday to average a double-double for the season in conference action...Craig Brackins is the only Cyclone to achieve the feat since the Big 12 began in 1996-97...Brackins averaged 21.8 points and 10.3 rebounds last season.
Brackins Joins 1,500 Point/700 Rebound Club
- Iowa State junior Craig Brackins joined an elite group of superstars in Iowa State history against Missouri (3-2-10) when he surpassed 1,500 points in his career.
- He became the sixth player in school history to record 1,500 points and 700 rebounds in a career, ranking 13th in career scoring (1,505) and eighth in career rebounding (718).
- The five other Cyclones to achieve the milestone are regarded as some of the best players in school history: Zaid Abdul-Aziz (1966-68), Jeff Grayer (1985-88), Victor Alexander (1988-91), Fred Hoiberg (1992-95) and Marcus Fizer (1998-2000).
- The other five former Cyclones to achieve the feat enjoyed NBA careers, combining 40 years of service in the Association, and were named to ISU's All-Century team in 2008.
- Brackins became just the third to do it in three seasons (Abdul-Aziz; Fizer).
