AMES, Iowa - For fans hoping to watch the No. 12 Iowa State volleyball team at Ames High School this fall, time is running out.
The only way to be guaranteed a seat is to purchase season tickets, and less than 100 remain available with the home opener set for Sept. 3 against UW-Milwaukee. The Ames High School gym has a capacity of roughly 2,000 so the athletics department has had to establish a cap for season tickets.
"Iowa State fans are amazing and we expected this could happen when we announced that we would be playing at Ames High," said Iowa State head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch. "In just over a week, we've sold over 600 season tickets. It is going to be a really great atmosphere and we look forward to packing the gym with Cyclone fans."
The home schedule includes 15 matches and season tickets costs $35 each. Season tickets can be purchased now at cyclones.com or by calling the ticket office at 1-888-478-2925.
All season ticket holders should be prepared to arrive early at matches this season. All seating for Cyclone volleyball will be general admission at Ames High School.
