AMES, Iowa- Former Iowa State basketball star Craig Brackins has had an interesting last few days to say the least. Thursday morning, Brackins was preparing for his first day of NBA team camp with the New Orleans Hornets when he received the news he was traded.
The Palmdale, Calif., native, who was a two-time All-Big 12 selection for the Cyclones, had just settled into his brand new home in New Orleans. He now has to deal with moving to a new city. Brackins was a part of a four-player swap that sent the 21st pick of the 2010 NBA Draft to Philadelphia.
Before preparing to get acclimated with the 76ers in Philly, Brackins swung through Ames this weekend to catch the Iowa State-UNI football game. Brackins sat down with cyclones.com to talk about his hectic past 48 hours.
