Cyclones Men's Hoops Breaks Season Ticket Record

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State men's basketball opens its 2011-12 campaign Saturday at 1 p.m. vs. Lehigh. Judging by the numbers tallied from the Iowa State ticket office, a slew of Cyclone fans will be in attendance to cheer on the home team.
On Tuesday, the Iowa State Athletics Department announced it had sold its 10,252nd season ticket, eclipsing the old record of 10,247 season tickets sold in 2007-08. That's already a 20 percent increase from last year.
Tickets are being sold in record fashion. The department's student ticket allotment sold out in July. The popular $99 season tickets were devoured in October.
The Iowa State Athletics Department wants to thank Cyclone fans for helping us achieve this historic milestone!
