AMES, Iowa - The Oklahoma State University Athletics Department suffered a significant loss to its family Thursday when women's basketball coaches Kurt Budke and Miranda Serna, along with two other individuals, were killed in a plane crash in Arkansas.

The Iowa State Athletics Department worked with the Oklahoma State athletics administration and coaching staff and agreed to have a moment of silence in remembrance of the victims prior to tonight's football game. The observance will occur in advance of the national anthem.

Iowa State will also observe moments of silence prior to its men's (vs. Western Carolina at 12:30 p.m.) and women's basketball (vs. Northern Arizona at 5:30 p.m.) games Sunday to honor the deceased.
