Bubu Palo was named Academic All-Big 12 Second Team, announced today by the Big 12 office.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, and the second team are those who have a 3.00-3.19 GPA. Student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of their team's scheduled contests to qualify.
Palo, a native of Ames, Iowa, is averaging 4.4 points while playing in all 26 games for the Cyclones this season. Palo has scored in double figures four times this season, including a career-high 12 points vs. Chicago State.
