Smith to Transfer to Bethune-Cookman

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads said Tuesday that true freshman linebacker Donald Smith will transfer to Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Fla.
“Donald came to me and was very homesick,” Rhoads said. “He wanted to go and play somewhere closer to home. We wish him all the best.”
Smith is a linebacker from Tampa, Fla.
