AMES, Iowa - A limited number of tickets are still available for the Sept. 17 volleyball match between No. 17 Iowa State (7-0, 0-0 Big 12) and No. 9 Nebraska (7-1, 0-0 Big Ten). The match will be played in the Bob Devaney Sports Center, in Lincoln, Neb., which has a capacity of 13,595.
Each year, Nebraska hosts one match in the Devaney Center instead of its regular home in Nebraska Coliseum. The last time the Cyclones played a match in the Devaney Center, the home of Nebraska men and women's basketball, gymnastics and indoor track and field, was in 2004.
Not only does the match mark the first time in the Christy Johnson-Lynch era in which Iowa State has played in the Devaney Center but it will also mark the first non-conference match between the teams in the programs' history, dating back to 1975.
Tickets to the match can be purchased online at huskers.com (click here) or by calling the Nebraska ticket office at 402-472-3111.
This weekend, the Cyclones are in Fargo, N.D. to play two matches with the North Dakota State Bison. The teams meet for the first time on Friday night at 7 p.m. and finish the weekend with a 1 p.m. start on Saturday. Both times central.
