- Iowa State (14-5, 4-2) travels to Texas (12-7, 2-4) on Tuesday fresh off a 76-52 win at Texas Tech on Saturday...it was the first ISU victory in Lubbock since March 1, 2000.
- Iowa State was 0-13 heading into the season in road games vs. Big 12 Texas schools since 2005...however, ISU has won its last two on the road vs. Big 12 Texas teams (Texas A&M; Texas Tech) by 24-point margins, each tying for the third-largest margin of victories on the road against league opponents in school history.
- It marks the first time ISU has recorded two 20-point league road wins since 1943-44.
- Iowa State is tied for third place in the Big 12 at 4-2, the first time ISU has started 4-2 in the Big 12 since 2004 while already surpassing last season's Big 12 win total (3-13).
- With two Big 12 road victories already under its belt, ISU is looking for its third league road win for the first time since the 2004-05 season when it recorded four.
