-Iowa State (12-3, 2-0), which received a vote in both the AP & Coaches poll, hosts No. 9 Missouri (14-1, 1-1) on Wednesday, as MU travels to Ames for possibly the final time.
-The two teams have met every season since 1909 except twice (1915 & 1927) for a total of 231 meetings...MU leads 147-84 and has won seven in a row in the series.
-Iowa State is 2-0 in the Big 12 for just the fifth time in school history: 1996-97, 1999-2000, 2003-04, 2006-07...ISU has won its first three Big 12 games only once in school history, in 1999-2000 when it opened the league season at 4-0.
-Iowa State has rattled off seven-straight wins for just the third time since 2000-01 (2010-11, 2004-05, 2003-04)...the last time ISU won eight or more games in a row was in 2000-01 when it recorded a 10-game winning streak during Big 12 play.
-Iowa State ended a seven-game losing streak to Texas and an eight-game losing skid to Texas A&M in the first week of Big 12 play.
