Cyclones Finish Seventh at Mercedes-Benz

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The No. 14 Iowa State women's golf team placed seventh at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate Sunday afternoon. The Cyclones posted an 886 in the three-day tournament. Iowa State fired a 290 this afternoon, its lowest tally of the three rounds. Penn State won the team title at 867.
The tournament featured seven teams ranked in the nation's top-50 according to Golfstat.
Sasikarn On-iam fired a 218 to tie for 11th place to pace the Cyclones, her best showing of the season. She carded a final-round 70 this afternoon. Punpaka Phuntumabamrung tied for 23rd at 221.
The Cyclones will be back in action at the Landfall Tradition on Friday, Oct. 26 in Wilmington, N.C..
