Royce White continues to rack up postseason honors. The Minneapolis, Minn., native was named Honorable Mention All-American by the Associated Press this morning.
White is coming off an outstanding season where he led the Cyclones in scoring (13.4), rebounding (9.3), assists (5.0), steals (1.2) and blocks (0.9), the only player in the nation to lead his team in all five categories. The All-Big 12 First-Team selection recorded 316 rebounds and 170 assists, both totals ranking in Iowa State's single-season top-10 lists.
White, who announced his intentions to enter the NBA Draft on Wednesday, saw his NBA stock soar with his impressive play in the NCAA Championship. He averaged 19.0 points and 11.0 rebounds vs. Connecticut and Kentucky, outplaying a number of potential lottery picks.
