CENTERVILLE, Iowa - The Cyclones improved to 3-1 in spring action on Thursday night, defeating Missouri, 2-0 (25-17, 25-17), at Lakeview Elementary School in Centerville, Iowa.
As she has all spring, sophomore outside hitter Victoria Hurtt led the Cyclones in kills, tallying 11 on Thursday. Taylor Knuth and Jamie Straube each added six kills.
Reigning Big 12 Libero of the Year Kristen Hahn grabbed a team-high 15 digs and sophomore Taylor Goetz was second with nine.
At the net, the Cyclones recorded six blocks in two sets, led by junior middle blocker Tenisha Matlock who had three total blocks. Iowa State got two blocks each from Taylor Knuth and Straube.
The Cyclones will close out their spring schedule next Saturday, April 21, with a best-of-five match at home against Nebraska at 5 p.m. CST. Prior to the match, face painting and temporary tattoos will be available to kids on the concourse and the team will host a post-match autograph session.
