AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State men's basketball team will compete in the Global Sports Classic Thanksgiving tournament in Las Vegas, Nev., Nov. 23-24 hosted by UNLV.
The complete field consists of Campbell, North Carolina A&T, Jacksonville State, Northern Arizona, Iowa State, Oregon, Cincinnati and UNLV. Each team will play four games - the first two at campus sites - and the final two rounds at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev., on Thanksgiving weekend.
Iowa State will play host to Campbell and North Carolina A&T before leaving for Las Vegas. The Cyclones will face Cincinnati on Friday Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m. CT. The winner of the Iowa State/Cincinnati game will battle the winner of the Oregon/UNLV tilt on Saturday (Nov. 24) at 9:30 p.m. CT. The losing teams will face each other in the consolation game at 7 p.m. CT.
Television information for the Global Sports Classic and Iowa State's complete 2012-13 schedule will be released at a later date.
