AMES, Iowa – Two of Iowa State's matches in the Iowa State Challenge tournament have been moved and the Cyclones and Nebraska Cornhuskers have set a time for their Sept. 15 meeting in Ames. Iowa State's match time with Kansas State at Hilton Coliseum has also been changed.
During the Iowa State Challenge, the Cyclones will play Iowa on Friday Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. CST rather than on Saturday night to avoid conflict with Iowa State's football game at Iowa that same day. The Cyclones' match with Syracuse, originally scheduled for Friday, has been moved to Saturday Sept. 8 and will be played at 6:30 p.m. Iowa State will also play Eastern Washington during the weekend tournament.
The Cyclones and Huskers have set a 1 p.m. first serve for their Sept. 15 match at Hilton. The Huskers last visited Hilton in 2009 when 10,203 fans set a state of Iowa volleyball attendance record. The teams played at Ames High School in 2010 after flooding damaged Hilton's volleyball court.
On Nov. 14, Iowa State and Kansas State will face off in a 5 p.m. match, instead at the 6:30 p.m. time originally announced.
The Cyclones begin their season on the road at the Comcast Lady Vol Classic in Knoxville, Tenn. on Aug. 24, playing Cincinnati at 4 p.m. All times central.
