AMES, Iowa - Steele Jantz threw for 281 yards and Shontrelle Johnson rushed for a career-high 120 yards to help Iowa State (1-0, 0-0 Big 12) down Tulsa, 38-23 in the season-opener at Jack Trice Stadium Saturday afternoon.

As we get ready to kickoff another season of Iowa State football, vs. Tulsa at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 1, we want to ensure that all Cyclone fans have an enjoyable gameday experience. We are proud that you chose to be part of the Cyclone Nation. Out of respect for your fellow Iowa Staters, please keep in mind that with over 50,000 fans (on average) attending each home game and with all the Cyclone Club donor parking lots sold-out, you may need to make adjustments to your gameday schedule. Allow yourself more time to arrive/leave Ames, to park your car or RV and to enter the stadium before kickoff.
Parking Lots Open on Sept. 1 at:
- Cyclone Club Donor Parking Lots - Open at 7:00 a.m.
- General Public Parking Lots - Open at 8:30am
In addition, we ask that you strictly adhere to the tailgating polices listed below. Your compliance with these policies and procedures will help alleviate problems and make gameday for all Cyclone fans, the best it can possibly be. Please do what “Cy” does on gameday...Display patience, be considerate of fellow fans and adhere to all policies and procedures!
Tailgate Policies - Respect your Neighbor:
We want all fans to have an enjoyable gameday experience, so please remember the following policies when tailgating:
- Limit your tailgating to your ONE parking space - ONE parking space per pass will be strictly enforced
- Tents can be no larger than 10'x10'
- DO NOT block the path for other vehicles to park or to access the lots and parking stalls
- No glass bottles, kegs or open fires are allowed in parking lots
- Remember to clean up your area and dispose of trash before departing
- Please be considerate and respectful of others
PLEASE NOTE: If any of these tailgating and/or parking policies are abused, the Iowa State Athletics Department reserves the right to revoke parking privileges for future games and future seasons.

Monday, Aug. 27: Applebee's CYdlines Show Starts Tonight
Join Iowa State football coach Paul Rhoads and Cyclone play-by-play announcer John Walters for the weekly CYdLines Coaches Show at Applebee's (105 Chestnut Street, right off South Duff Avenue) throughout the 2012 season each Monday at 6:30 p.m. The weekly, 90-minute call-in show features the latest updates on Cyclone football and interviews with other Iowa State coaches and staff. Fans are invited to attend the show, which starts on Aug. 27, in person at Applebee's.
Those fans that aren't able to listen on a Cyclone Radio Network, can listen live on Cyclones.tv.
