AMES, Iowa – Former Iowa State standout, Victoria Henson, has been chosen to the 19-player Heart of America Havoc roster, head coach Jill Stinson announced Tuesday. The Havoc is entering its first season in the Premier Volleyball League, a women's indoor, region-based professional volleyball league.
Of the 19 former collegiate volleyball players chosen by Stinson, who held tryouts in December, six members are former Big 12 student-athletes. The team, part of the Heart of America region, is made up of players currently living in Kansas and Western Missouri.
The Havoc will play its first matches of the season at the President's Day Classic in Omaha, Neb., beginning Feb. 15.
Other former Cyclones who have played in the PVL, now in its second year, include Kaylee Manns, Ashley Mass, Carly Jenson, Caitlin Mahoney and Kelsey Petersen.
