MORGANTOWN, W. Va.- The Iowa State soccer team fell 2-0 to the No. 16 West Virginia Mountaineers Friday at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown, W.Va.
Turning point of the game
In the second period, West Virginia (10-2-2) was leading the Cyclones (6-7-2) 1-0, when West Virginia's Kate Schwindel scored a goal to put the Mountaineers up 2-0. After this point the Cyclones were unable to mount a comeback. Kate Schwindel and Frances Silva, who were tied for second in the Big 12 for goals scored this season, both score goals for the Mountaineers.

Haley Albert. The sophomore continued her hot-streak, tying for the Cyclones lead in shots (2) and shots on goal (1). The Cyclones were able to fire 12 shots as a team with four of them being of goal. Iowa State was able to get good looks at the West Virginia goal, but was unable to capitalize.
