Baylor Defeats ISU, 6-1

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State (5-7, 0-1 Big 12) opened up conference play today against Baylor (6-10, 1-0 Big 12). The Cyclones fought hard in several matches, yet the final score showed a 6-1 defeat. Iowa State's Sunday match against TCU has been switched to start at 8:30 a.m.

Ksenia Pronina, a sophomore, secured the only team point for the Cyclones. It was a great win for Pronina as she went on to defeat No. 124 Megan Horter in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, at the No. 2 matchup.

Iowa State will be back in action Sunday with another Big 12 conference matchup.
