DAYTON, Ohio - The Iowa State men's basketball team (23-12 overall, 11-7 Big 12) fell in the third round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday to No. 7 Ohio State (28-7 overall, 13-5 Big Ten) by a score of 78-75. Senior point guard Korie Lucious had 19 points to lead Iowa State, which fell on a last-second three-pointer by Aaron Craft.
DAYTON, OHIO - The Iowa State men's basketball team (23-11 overall, 11-7 Big 12) took down No. 23 Notre Dame (25-10 overall, 11-7 Big East) in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Friday, 76-58. Iowa State got 19 points from freshman forward Georges Niang, matching a career-high.
Sunday, March 17: Iowa State NCAA Tournament Ticket Information
The Iowa State men's basketball team will face Notre Dame in Dayton, Ohio, on Friday in the second round of the NCAA Championship. Below is information for fans who want to pre-order tickets.The Iowa State Athletics Department would like to provide an advance notice of the process to order tickets for the games being played in Dayton, Ohio.
The NCAA allocates only 350 tickets to each participating institution for the preliminary rounds of the tournament. Iowa State's NCAA ticket allotment for the preliminary rounds will be allocated as follows:
- Cyclone Club Members - 166 Tickets
- Iowa State Students - 34 tickets
- Participating Student-Athlete's Family/Guests - 76 tickets
- Coaches' Family and Administrative Travel Party - 74 tickets
Because of the extremely limited availability, only Cyclone Club members who are also men's season ticketholders at the Directors (maximum four tickets), Victory (two tickets) and Captains (two tickets) levels may request tickets.
Ticket orders should be placed on Monday, March 18 between 8 a.m. - 11 a.m either in person at the Iowa State Athletics Ticket Office or by phone at 888-478-2925, locally at 294-1816. Requesting tickets does NOT guarantee fulfillment. All tickets will be allocated according to giving level and priority points within the respective level. Ticket holders will be notified by 1 p.m. if their request cannot be fulfilled.
If tickets remain after 1 p.m. on March 18, they will be offered to all Cyclone Club members who are men's basketball season ticketholders. The limit will be two (2) tickets per account and seats will be allocated based on giving level.
All tickets must be picked up (by purchaser only - photo ID is required) at the ISU “Will Call”, located on the south side of UD Arena (faces I-75 and is opposite the baseball stadium) on Friday, March 22. Tickets will be available beginning 90 minutes prior to the first game of our session. If ISU advances to the third round, ticket pick-up will be at the same location on Sunday, March 24. All orders are based on availability.
Tickets cost $80 for each session, but Iowa State fans will be charged only for the sessions that the Cyclones participate in. Fans that purchase second-round tickets will be charged for the third round only if the Cyclones advance. If Iowa State does not advance, fans will not be charged nor will tickets be available for the third round.
