AMES, Iowa – The No. 14-ranked Iowa State men's basketball team put on a dominant performance in its exhibition opener against Viterbo. Six Cyclones scored in double-figures en route to a 115-48 victory in a balanced offensive attack.
How it happened…
Iowa State received quality minutes across the lineup, with 11 student-athletes putting points on the board. Naz Long and Sherron Dorsey-Walker led the way from deep, scoring 17 points each and hitting five and three three-pointers, respectively.
Daniel Edozie scored 14 points and tacked on 11 rebounds in the double-double effort. Five more Cyclones added five or more rebounds in Dustin Hogue (7), Monte Morris (6), Kourtlin Jackson (6), Bryce DeJean-Jones (6) and Georgios Tsalmpouris (6). Morris led the team with five assists, with Clayton Custer and Jackson adding four assists.
DeJean-Jones and Jackson provided the fireworks in tonight's contest, each throwing down a pair of dunks to bring the Cyclone faithful to their feet.

Daniel Edozie. Edozie's double-double performance came on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Compton, California, native added some highlights of his own with a couple rim-rattling slams.
Next Up
The Cyclones open regular-season competition next Friday against Oakland. The game will be played at 7 p.m. CT at Hilton Coliseum, marking the opening round of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.
