AMES, Iowa – Registration for 2014 Cyclone volleyball camps is now open. Camps will run from June 9-July 30 and spots are available for all six camps. Participants of all skill levels are welcome.
Junior Cyclone Camp, for students in grades 1-8, will run June 9-12 in the evenings, and focus on teamwork and individual volleyball skills.
The Cyclones will also host two All Skills camps. Cardinal Camp will take place June 18-20 and Gold Camp is scheduled for July 15-17. Both camps are identical in content and will be divided into individual drills and team competition. These camps are for grades 8 and above.
Setters and liberos will have their own camps, set for July 9-11. Setter camp is on July 9-10 and focuses on hand position and footwork. Libero camp will take place July 10-11 and focuse on passing and defense in an effort to improve back row skills. These camps are open for grades 5 and up and campers can sign up for both at a discounted rate.
Team Cardinal and Team Gold camps will be held July 25-26 and July 29-30, respectively. A competition camp, day one of camp is focused on competitive drills against another team and teams will play in a tournament format on day two.
