Cyclones Earn Preseason All-Big 12 Accolades

AMES, Iowa – A number of Iowa State football players have been selected to preseason All-Big 12 teams by various preseason football magazines.
Senior tight end E.J. Bibbs is an unanimous choice to contend for first-team all-Big 12 honors, earning preseason first-team All-Big 12 accolades by Athlon's, Lindy's, Sporting News, Phil Steele and Bleacher Report.
Bibbs will no doubt be one of the top tight ends in the nation in 2014. The Chicago, Ill., native was an All-Big 12 Second-Team selection in 2013, ranking second on the team in catches (39) and receiving yards (462). His 39 catches ranks as the second-most by a Cyclone tight end in school history and tied for 13th among all FBS tight ends.
Another Cyclone to find his name on multiple preseason Big 12 teams is senior center Tom Farniok. A native of Sioux Falls, S.D., Farniok is a two-time honorable mention All-Big 12 pick. His 35 career starts is the most recorded by any current Cyclone.
