AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State Athletics Department started its Kid Captain program in 2010. Partnering with Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, the program provides children who are faced with a challenging medical situation the opportunity to be an honorary captain at an Iowa State football game.
The Longhorn Network recently interviewed Iowa State Athletics Director Jamie Pollard and many others who helped make the Kid Captain program an outstanding tradition at Cyclone football games.
