- Iowa State owns a 20-game home winning streak heading into Saturday's game against West Virginia. ISU has beat 13 consecutive Big 12 opponents at Hilton Coliseum.
- The Cyclones are ranked No. 14 in the AP poll, their school-record 32nd week in a row in the top-25.
- The Cyclones play four of their final seven games against top-25 opponents.
- Iowa State is one of the top offensive teams in the nation. The Cyclones are the Big 12's top scoring team and 10th nationally at 80.0 points per game. ISU's 48.8 percent field goal shooting also leads the conference and is 11th nationally. Their field-goal percentage is the best by a Cyclone team since the 1993-94 team shot 49.4 percent.
- Georges Niang (14.9) leads ISU and is fourth in the Big 12 in scoring. Bryce Dejean-Jones is 10th with 12.6 points per contest and another starter, Naz Long, is 13th with 11.9 points. ISU is the only team in the nation with six players scoring in double figures.
- On Wednesday, Niang earned a spot on the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20 list.
- Jameel McKay has been a difference maker for the Cyclones, bringing energy on both ends of the floor. McKay broke into the starting lineup against Texas Tech and hasn't looked back. He's averaged a team-high 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds since joining the starting lineup. He's hit 15-of-18 field goals (83.3 percent) in the two games. McKay has 29 blocks in 14 games. Before McKay entered the lineup, ISU had 26 blocks as a team in nine games.
- Long has been the top 3-point threat connecting for the Cyclones, who hit 14 threes in Monday's loss to OU. Long has hit 61 3-pointers, just three shy of his total from last year and the 19th-most in a single season for Iowa State. He is shooting 42.1 percent from long distance and is second in the Big 12 with 2.7 threes per game. Long has 130 career threes, 125 of which have come in the last two seasons. He shoots 44.6% on threes at home.
- Monté Morris, a Cousy Award watch list member, is leading the Big 12 with 5.5 assists (31st nationally) and a 4.7 assist-to-turnover ratio (1st). He's posted 126 assists and just 27 turnovers. Since the start of last season, Morris leads all active Big 12 players with 86 steals.
- ISU is second nationally in assists (17.8 per game). The Cyclones have a Big 12-best team assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.5 (7th nationally). ISU, which is averaging just 11.4 turnovers per game, has assisted on 61.3 percent of its field goals.
- Four ISU players rank among the Big 12's top field-goal shooters. Dustin Hogue is second at 59 percent shooting. Dejean-Jones (4th, 51.3), Morris (6th, 49.0) and Niang (8th, 46.5) are also in the top eight.

Series Notes vs. West Virginia
- The Cyclones and Mountaineers had never met prior to West Virginia joining the Big 12 in 2012-13. The Cyclones lead the all-time series 4-1.
- The Cyclones won the first meeting this season in Morgantown (74-72)...Abdel Nader came off the bench to score a team-high 19 points...Niang added 16 and Hogue 11 in the important road win...Morris had six assists and just one turnover against the tough Mountaineer defensive pressure.
- West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins is 5-5 all-time against Iowa State: 2-1 at Cincinnati; 2-0 at Kansas State; 1-4 at West Virginia. Fred Hoiberg is 4-1 against the Mountaineers.
