AMES, Iowa - After two-straight weeks on the road, the Iowa State volleyball team returns to Hilton Coliseum Wednesday with a match against in-state rivals UNI. The match between the Cyclones and Panthers, the 53rd in the series, will take place at 6:30 p.m.

- The Iowa State volleyball team returns to Hilton Coliseum this week for a three-match home stretch, which starts Wednesday against their in-state rivals, the UNI Panthers, for a 6:30 p.m. match.
- The Cyclones are coming off a 2-1 weekend at the Comfort Suites Challenge in Iowa City. The Cyclones picked up wins over No. 25 Texas A&M and Milwaukee, while falling to their in-state rivals in Iowa.
- ISU saw its middle blocker duo of sophomores Alexis Conaway and Samara West have a strong weekend in Iowa City. Conaway averaged 1.82 kills per set at a .462 hitting percentage and 1.00 blocks per set. In the loss to Iowa, Conaway had 12 kills at a career-best .632 hitting percentage.
- West, who was named to the Comfort Suites Challenge All-Tournament Team, averaged 2.73 kills per set at a .571 hitting percentage along with 0.82 blocks per set. She was one of ISU's offensive leaders in the win over Texas A&M, recording 13 kills at a .478 hitting percentage. In the Cyclones' sweep of Milwaukee, West recorded 11 kills at a .786 hitting percentage.
- The Iowa State offense continues to be led by true freshman Jess Schaben. The Defiance, Iowa native leads the Cycloens and ranks fifth in the Big 12 with her 3.40 kills per set.
- In Iowa State's victory over Appalachian State, Schaben had one of the best matches by a freshman in Iowa State history. Schaben broke the ISU record for kills by a freshman in a match with 28, collecting those at a .397 hitting percentage. For her efforts, Schaben was named to the Cavalier Classic All-Tournament Team, and Big 12 Rookie of the Week.
- Iowa State libero Caitlin Nolan, a 2014 AVCA Third-Team All-American, is off to a strong start to her 2015 campaign. The senior ranks first in the Big 12 with her 5.31 digs per set. In ISU's win over Appalachian State, Nolan posted 34 digs, her fifth career match with over 30 digs and the most digs by a player in the Big 12 this season. Her 29 digs in the loss to Virginia is the second-most in the Big 12 this season.
